In October 2013, Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. acquired Grace Pacific (“Grace”) one of Hawaii’s largest natural materials and infrastructure construction companies, and its largest asphalt paving contractor.
Our vertically integrated, wholly-owned and joint venture operations include quarries on Oahu and Molokai, a liquid asphalt import terminal on Oahu, and hot mix and paving operations on all of Hawaii’s major islands. We provide paving services to a wide variety of customers, including federal, state and county governments, private developers and other construction firms. Our operations also include Hawaii’s largest road safety and transportation construction services contractor and Hawaii’s only precast/prestressed concrete building materials manufacturer.
Grace provides quality aggregate to meet market demand. Each year, our processing plant at Makakilo produces more than a million tons of aggregate. We carefully select, control and monitor the composition of all of our products with its final use in mind, producing over a dozen grades of aggregate to meet customers’ specifications. As Hawaii’s premier hot mix asphalt (HMA) supplier, we provide the highest grade of HMA in the state, producing approximately 700,000 tons per year. We supply HMA for our own use and to a large number of contractor customers from our seven plants throughout the state.
With a highly skilled team using the most advanced technology in the industry, Grace produces award-winning paving projects and sets the standard for Hawaii. As Hawaii’s largest paving contractor, we have used our expertise to enhance airport runways and taxiways, harbor wharves and container yards, interstate freeways, highways, bridges, roadways, bike paths, tennis courts, driveways, and parking lots throughout the state.Visit Grace Pacific Corp. »
