Matson Global Distribution Services (Matson Global) is building on the growth and momentum of its parent, Matson Integrated Logistics (MIL), by offering customers full third-party logistics services. Its service menu encompasses warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding and NVOCC services. Matson Global complements Matson's wide range of transportation product offerings - from ocean transit to inland distribution - and enhances the company's ability to serve its growing domestic base while opening new markets in Asia. With Matson Global, MIL is able to manage the entire supply chain process for customers, from warehousing to distribution, using the most cost-efficient transport available - truck, rail, ocean or air.
Matson Global is leveraging the continuing expansion of MIL and the extension of Matson's ocean services to China. Matson Global's services include transloading and consolidation, inbound and outbound freight management and coordination, cross-dock support, and seasonal and short-term warehouse and distribution. Its multiple service options to inland points include guaranteed expedited service to both regional and national networks.
Established in 2007, Matson Global has already been successful in securing a multi-year agreement with a tier-one company which has extensive manufacturing facilities in China. The relationship involves leasing 711,000 square feet at the Savannah Logistics Center from A&B Properties to provide logistics, warehouse and distribution services for the company, a worldwide leader in children's and family leisure time entertainment products and services. Matson Global's partnership with this major manufacturer represents the start of a strategic objective to develop integrated real estate and logistics solutions by leveraging not only Matson and MIL's transportation expertise, but also that of A&B Properties.
