Project Manager - Development (Job #16-2014)

A&B Properties is seeking an individual to manage all phases of real estate development projects including long-range and conceptual, to very specific and detailed projects. Projects assigned will involve conceiving, conceptualizing, formulating, and implementing real estate development plans and projects for development by A&B and/or outside developers. Oversight will include all phases the development process from feasibility analysis to construction, marketing, sales, and/or leasing. This position will report to the Senior Vice-President, Development. The best candidates will have a college degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering, preferably with an MBA, and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in real estate development project management or commercial sales and leasing.

Real Estate Assistant (Job #15-2014)

A&B Properties is seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and energetic person to provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President, Development and other department managers in performing the daily functions and processes of the development department.  The individual will work on confidential materials, schedule meetings and appointments, process and administer development consultant contracts and maintain detailed development budgets and schedules.  The candidate must be skilled in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat, and proficient at internet research. They will be required to use and troubleshoot general office equipment and be familiar with video and teleconferencing applications/systems.  Must be expert in editing and proofreading correspondence and completing accurate review of forms, spreadsheets, tables and other documents.  Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are also required.  Knowledge of general real estate and construction terminology is desirable.

Real Estate Assistant (Job #14-2014)

A&B Properties is seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and energetic person to provide administrative support to the Senior VP, Planning & Entitlement and the department managers in the daily functions and processes of the Planning & Entitlement department.  In addition to miscellaneous administrative duties, the individual will work on confidential materials, process time-sensitive documents, and maintain detailed informational spreadsheets and schedules.  The candidate must be able to use and troubleshoot general office equipment and be familiar with video and teleconferencing applications/systems.  The individual will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat, as well as skilled at internet research. Individual must be competent in scanning, resizing, and importing photos, maps, charts and tables into presentations.  Must be expert in editing and proofreading correspondence and completing accurate review of forms, spreadsheets, tables and other documents.  Good interpersonal and communication skills are also required.  Knowledge of real estate development or related fields is desirable.

Tax Manager (Job #07-2014)

Alexander & Baldwin is seeking an individual to fill a vacant Tax Manager position.  Incumbent will be responsible for overseeing income tax accounting, reporting and compliance for Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. and subsidiaries (“Company”).  The Tax Manager will manage the preparation of income tax provisions and related disclosures under ASC 740 in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules, while also ensuring the Company is in compliance with income and franchise tax laws and filing requirements in all relevant taxing jurisdictions.  The Tax Manager will also be expected to work with and support the Company’s various business units while simultaneously partnering with the various Controllers to provide accurate and timely tax information.  The Tax Manager  is responsible for preparing and managing the income tax accounting and compliance; ensuring that all tax returns are prepared correctly and filed on a timely basis, including federal, state and local and foreign taxes.  In addition, this position is responsible for preparing the tax portion of internal and external financial statements and tax disclosures, in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ASC 740 (FAS 109) and SEC requirements applicable to public companies. This position requires a minimum of six years combined public accounting and/or corporate tax department experience including federal and state tax compliance, ASC 740 (FAS 109) tax reporting, SOX internal controls, and strong managerial and communication skills.  The ability to research tax issues and thoroughly document tax analysis and conclusions in writing is also required.  A master’s degree in tax and /or a CPA is preferred.

Electrical Operations Specialist

Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. is seeking a responsible candidate to provide day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of power generation assets located on Kauai, inclusive of two hydroelectric and one photovoltaic solar generation facility, and related electrical control, transmission and distribution systems. Position is responsible for all electrical systems in support of operations, which includes identifying and implementing predictive, preventative and corrective measures. Candidate should have electrical and mechanical background. High school diploma with an associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical field or four to seven years related verifiable work experience. Must have a State of Hawaii Journeyman Electrician License.
