SENIOR MANAGER – FINANCIAL REPORTING & TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING

Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. is seeking a senior manager, financial reporting & technical accounting. Incumbent will report directly to the Company’s corporate controller and will lead Alexander & Baldwin, Inc.’s financial reporting function. The Financial Reporting function is responsible for the following:
• The Company’s periodic filings with the SEC (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, registration statements, XBRL tagging, etc.);
• The collection, consolidation, and reporting of financial information for Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. and its divisions, subsidiaries and corporate departments;
• Providing timely, accurate and meaningful financial reports to management and the Board of Directors;
• Research and implement complex accounting guidance and disclosures;
• Assists with ensuring highest standards of internal and disclosure controls.

The position requires bachelor’s degree in accounting and 10+ years of accounting experience, Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred, and CPA with SEC reporting experience and a strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and generally accepted accounting principles.

Marketing Associate

A&B Properties is seeking a Marketing Associate to work with the Marketing Communications Manager to establish property-level marketing and promotional programs that manifest and strengthen the A&B Properties brand. The incumbent will support both the Asset Management and Leasing teams with internal and external facing marketing initiatives. The incumbent will also help develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives, pursue new channels, develop web content, social media, etc., and pursue opportunities to be more visible in marketplace. Duties include coordinating design, production and distribution of marketing materials such as brochures, ads, and other marketing collateral. Promotional activities involve developing and implementing property-level promotional programs such as festivals, events and live music as well as monitoring success of promotional programs. Responsible for property-level web-site development and content management. The successful candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience with marketing, event coordination and promotions. Have knowledge of property level marketing, and able to establish and implement promotional, marketing budgets and variance analysis. Must be skilled in MIS Office, PhotoShop, Visio or Publisher (preferred). Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Senior Accountant

Alexander & Baldwin is seeking a Senior Accountant. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the Company’s general ledgers for its agribusiness activities and Corporate function to ensure reliable financial records, accurate and timely reporting. Responsible for supervising accounting clerk(s) and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting. General ledger responsibilities, include but are not limited to timely and accurate posting of daily journal entries, preparation of monthly account reconciliations, coordination of monthly accounting & closing schedules, and preparation of monthly financial variance analyses and reports.

Property Management Accountant

Alexander & Baldwin is seeking a Property Management Accountant. The incumbent in this position is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts and reports, preparing variance analysis for A&B Properties (“Properties” or “ABP”), assisting with research projects and ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting policies and procedures. The position is responsible for the organization and preparation of audit work papers and budgeting/forecasting information for financial purposes and enforcing internal controls. The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and real estate. An undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent is required. A CPA certificate and/or graduate business degree is desirable as is JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) software experience. Must also possess good written and oral communication skills.

Accounting Clerk

Alexander & Baldwin is seeking a Accounting Clerk. This individual will be responsible for the collection, preparation, processing, and summarization of financial data relating to the Company’s cash collections and results of operations. Duties include billing of tenants, recording cash receipts, and maintenance of receivable accounts, including balancing, reconciling for input to financial records. Must have a working understanding of double-entry accounting, computer-based accounting systems and related programs, with an ability to work with detail, be trustworthy and possess disciplined work habits.

Administrative Assistant

Alexander & Baldwin is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to support the daily functions and processes of the Leasing department. The Administrative Assistant functions as a quarterback for a growing team in a fast-paced environment by tracking documents and critical dates, and ensuring that the entire leasing process runs smoothly. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter who is looking for an opportunity to use his/her organizational and multi-tasking skills while having an opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic team.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide administrative support to Vice President, Leasing and members of the Leasing Team
• Manage confidential leasing documents, ensuring timely processing, execution, and organization of documents and electronic files
• Manage calendars, including scheduling internal and external meetings, and managing travel arrangements
• Prepare correspondence, complex reports, and presentations used in strategy and operations meetings
• Thoroughly prepare for weekly Lease Committee meetings by ensuring that pertinent documentation is submitted, information is accurately displayed/cross-checked, and proper approvals are collected.
• Serve as a point person for general leasing inquiries

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of related administrative experience
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact at all organizational levels
• Technically savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and cloud-based applications
• College degree and experience in commercial real estate is desirable but not required
• Notary public commission desired
