Executive Assistant to the CEO (Job #15-2015)

Alexander & Baldwin seeking a professional and reliable individual to be an integral part of the office of the President and CEO of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc.  Incumbent must possess excellent administrative support skills, initiative and discretion, and understands the broader context of the Company’s business direction and priorities.  A critical element is the need for an assertive but diplomatic approach to the position, always representing the Company and the department in a professional and considerate manner.  Prepare letters, reports, agendas and other materials.  Manages calendars and schedules meetings, answers and responds to telephone calls and correspondence, coordinates travel arrangements and maintains sensitive and confidential files.  Requirements and qualifications: must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.  A self-starter and detail-oriented.  Ability to maintain highest levels of integrity, confidentiality and professional presence at all times.  Excellent command of Windows environment software. College education and a minimum five years of related work experience required.

Tax Manager (Job #07-2014)

Alexander & Baldwin is seeking an individual to fill a vacant Tax Manager position.  Incumbent will be responsible for overseeing income tax accounting, reporting and compliance for Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. and subsidiaries (“Company”).  The Tax Manager will manage the preparation of income tax provisions and related disclosures under ASC 740 in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules, while also ensuring the Company is in compliance with income and franchise tax laws and filing requirements in all relevant taxing jurisdictions.  The Tax Manager will also be expected to work with and support the Company’s various business units while simultaneously partnering with the various Controllers to provide accurate and timely tax information.  The Tax Manager  is responsible for preparing and managing the income tax accounting and compliance; ensuring that all tax returns are prepared correctly and filed on a timely basis, including federal, state and local and foreign taxes.  In addition, this position is responsible for preparing the tax portion of internal and external financial statements and tax disclosures, in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ASC 740 (FAS 109) and SEC requirements applicable to public companies. This position requires a minimum of six years combined public accounting and/or corporate tax department experience including federal and state tax compliance, ASC 740 (FAS 109) tax reporting, SOX internal controls, and strong managerial and communication skills.  The ability to research tax issues and thoroughly document tax analysis and conclusions in writing is also required.  A master’s degree in tax and /or a CPA is preferred.
