Chris Benjamin is president and chief executive officer of Alexander & Baldwin. An accomplished executive with extensive business and management experience, Benjamin also has a long track record of volunteering with and providing leadership to nonprofit organizations that support Hawaii’s community. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Governors for Nareit.

Additional management experience
Before joining A&B, Benjamin held positions with General Motors Corporation, Sony Corporation, Booz Allen Hamilton and The Queen’s Health Systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.

A dedicated supporter of community organizations, Benjamin currently serves as the chair of Hale Kipa’s Capital Campaign and sits on the boards of directors or advisors of many groups, including:
