Francisco Gutierrez is senior vice president of development of Alexander & Baldwin. He joined A&B in August 2018 and oversees all of the company’s real estate development activities.
Gutierrez has more than 26 years of design and development experience. Before joining A&B, he served as senior director of development at GGP, one of the nation’s largest owners, redevelopers, and operators of retail properties. He also served as development director at Oliver McMillan, working on high-rise residential projects in downtown Honolulu. Earlier in his career, Gutierrez held development roles at The Mills Corporation in Washington, D.C., focusing on retail and mixed-use projects, and as an architect at Gensler in Houston.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in architecture and environmental design and a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Houston. Guitierrez is a former president of the Hawaii chapter of NAIOP and serves on the board member of HomeAid Hawaii.
